Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the Fabrication, Boilermaking and Fitter sections.
Plan, coordinate and monitor daily workshop production.
Allocate work and manage workshop personnel effectively.
Ensure production targets, deadlines and quality standards are achieved.
Monitor workmanship and ensure jobs are completed according to drawings and specifications.
Coordinate materials, equipment and manpower required for projects.
Ensure workshop machinery and equipment are used and maintained correctly.
Enforce Health & Safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping.
Identify production delays or problems and implement corrective action.
Liaise with management regarding production progress and priorities.
Supervise, motivate and discipline workshop staff where required.
Control overtime and promote efficient use of labour and resources.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in fabrication, boilermaking and/or mechanical workshop environments.
Strong knowledge of fabrication, boilermaking and fitting.
Previous foreman, supervisor or production management experience.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and people-management skills.
