Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting clerk/Junior Accountant to join our team's Finance Department. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, including preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and reconciling bank statements.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processing of invoices for all outgoing shipments / credit notes
Allocating payments to customer accounts
Resolving customer queries regarding invoices and statements
Sending customer statements by the due date
Processing customer orders for spares and printing corresponding pick slips for the warehouse staff
Processing Purchase Orders and sending it to Suppliers
Processing goods received vouchers when goods arrive
Receiving, reviewing and processing all Employee Expense Reports
Processing supplier invoices
Adhering to revenue recognition rules
Assisting with Annual Stock Take
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
A qualification in accounting or related field is preferred
2 years of accounting experience (internships or entry-level positions)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent communication (English and Afrikaans)
Excellent interpersonal skills
