Quality Control Officer
About the role
As a leading manufacturer and supplier of mining equipment and engineered solutions to the South African mining industry. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to join our team and ensure that our products consistently meet customer, engineering and company quality standards.
Responsibilities
• Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for quality control throughout all stages of the manufacturing process, including:
Incoming Inspection
Production Quality Control
Final Inspection & Dispatch
Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quality Control role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficient in the use of measuring equipment including verniers, tape measures, thread gauges and related inspection tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong observation skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality processes.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
• Relevant qualification in Quality Management, Mechanical Engineering, Production Management or similar will be advantageous.
• Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
• Able to work underground,
• Fabrication/engineering background rather than a generic ISO quality person.
• Background as boilermaker, fitter, toolmaker, or quality inspector from a mine or engineering workshop could be an excellent fit. Experience in drawings, tolerances, welding quality, and practical manufacturing
