About the role
Our client, a reputable organisation is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Person to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure all facilities, equipment, and infrastructure remain in optimal working condition.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct daily inspections and general maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical repairs as required.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organised manner.
• Assist with preventative maintenance schedules and record-keeping.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Support operational teams with ad-hoc repair or installation tasks.
Requirements
• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Proven experience in general maintenance or a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour.
• Valid driver’s licence (advantageous).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
