Factory Manager – Granite Processing Plant
Location: Brits, South Africa
An exciting leadership opportunity within a leading Granite Processing Operation
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Lead the production team to achieve daily, monthly, and annual targets.
Plan and optimise the production activities across the full processing plant, cutting, polishing, flaming, packing and quality control for an operation of a modern granite slab processing facility, ensuring safe, efficient, profitable, and high-quality production.
Ensure preventative maintenance coordination & minimise equipment downtime.
Manage the Export/Local Shipping logistics for export of containers, packing of containers and loading of Local orders as per customer requirements.
Monitor and control the production costs, procurement, stock control of stores, slabs, and blocks.
Ensure strict Quality control measures are in place.
Manage the HR function of the factory.
Ensure the Factory complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act No. 85 of 1993 and Regulations, and all other legal requirements.
Requirements
Requirements
Matric, with Relevant tertiary qualification in Production Management, Operations Management, Mining, or related field will be advantageous.
Minimum 10 years' management experience in manufacturing, granite processing, Granite mining, or heavy industry.
Demonstrated experience managing production teams.
Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and production optimisation.
High Computer literacy on the following programs, Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and other systems.
Excellent planning, organisational and leadership skills.
