VACANCY: DIESEL MECHANIC
Based in Kroonstad, Free State
J2 Transport (Pty) Ltd is a well-established transport company headquartered in Potchefstroom, with freight operations throughout the Free State, North West, and surrounding regions. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Kroonstad.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and servicing on trucks and trailers.
Ensure all vehicles are maintained in a safe and roadworthy condition.
Manage and coordinate workshop activities where required.
Supervise and assist Truckdrivers.
Source and procure vehicle parts and workshop consumables, as well as record holding and administrative tasks where necessary.
Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
Remuneration
A competitive remuneration package will be offered and is negotiable based on qualifications, experience, and relevant skills.
Commencement Date
As soon as possible.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
National Senior Certificate (Matric).
A relevant technical qualification will be advantageous.
Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
Experience working with Volvo trucks and side-tipper combinations will be advantageous.
Valid driver's licence.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and perform effectively under pressure.
Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious.
