Workshop Foreman - Suzuki Potchefstroom
About the role
Penta Suzuki Potchefstroom is looking for an experienced, motivated and hands-on Workshop Foreman to lead our workshop team and ensure that all vehicles are repaired and serviced efficiently, correctly and to Suzuki standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day technical operation of the workshop, allocating work to technicians, monitoring productivity, maintaining quality standards and ensuring that vehicles are completed on time and right the first time.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, leads from the front and understands that customer satisfaction starts with a quality repair and a vehicle delivered on time.
Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the workshop.
Allocate jobs to technicians according to skills, workload and job requirements.
Monitor workshop workflow and ensure jobs are completed within agreed timeframes.
Ensure technicians remain productive throughout the working day.
Monitor outstanding, carry-over and delayed jobs.
Ensure vehicles move efficiently through the workshop process.
Conduct regular workshop inspections and ensure a clean, safe and professional working environment.
Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric.
Qualified Motor Vehicle Technician – essential.
Relevant trade certificate.
Workshop Foreman experience in a motor dealership environment.
Franchise dealership experience will be an advantage.
Strong diagnostic and technical skills.
Valid driver's licence.
Good computer literacy.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
