Requirements
Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric).
Formal qualification in Meat Inspection, Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology or a related field.
Advantageous: Certificate in HACCP and Food Safety Management Systems (ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000).
Minimum 5 years' experience in a poultry abattoir as a Meat and Hygiene Inspector.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in spoken and written English.
Very good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Good report writing, recordkeeping and documentation skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with production departments and management.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
Experience in internal inspections, audits and non-conformance reporting.
Valid driver's licence.
