Senior Agronomist
About the role
Our client is looking for a Senior Agronomist to join their team and play a key role within the organisation.
📍 Location: Potchefstroom, North-West
💰 Salary: Market Related – Depending on Qualifications and Experience
Responsibilities
🌾 KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
• Provide technical support on specific product ranges.
• Give presentations at farmers’ days and study groups.
• Launch new products.
• Assist with the evaluation of new products.
• Plant, evaluate and harvest trials, as well as statistically process trial data.
• Liaise with local collaborators to evaluate new cultivars.
Requirements
• Agricultural degree/diploma or relevant qualification – NON-NEGOTIABLE.
• Bilingual in Afrikaans and English – read, write and speak fluently.
• Relevant experience will be an advantage.
• Valid driver’s licence; heavy vehicle licence will be advantageous.
• Experience in conducting trials.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required.
